Size of baby: Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.
Total Weight Gain / Loss: 39 lbs up.
Gender: Little girl - Katherine Anne
Movement: Still doing all her normal acrobatics.
What I miss: Other than feeling normal - nothing... haha...
Sleep: Sleeping fine except now whenever I wake up in the middle of the night the side I'm lying on feels numb. I guess I don't switch sides enough because my belly is so heavy and hard to move, that my blood circulation gets cut off a bit... oh well... nothing terrible though.
Symptoms: Nothing new other than a lot of Braxton-Hicks contractions.
Cravings: Consistently carbs, including chocolate... I think my body knows the end is in sight and it will need to buckle down soon after she's out.
Best moment of this week: Getting the c-section scheduled and tying all the loose ends as far as local baby registration paperwork. And of course getting her nursery finished.
What are we looking forward to: Our "last supper". We've scheduled a nice steak dinner as celebration of the last weekend we will ever have as just two married people without a baby... Insane!
Randoms: I found out that the baby stores here do not sell diapers, wipes, baby toiletteries or formula. So dumb! You have to get those at a Supermarket. Please tell me how that makes any sense at all??? I mean I am ok with the supermarket part, but I feel like baby stores should definitely carry those baby essentials too!
