Why not... 32 week survey

We are getting really close to D Day so I thought that I would finally start doing the weekly surveys like a lot of people are doing. Let's see if I can stick with it.

How Far Along: 32 weeks! (plus a few days as of today...)
(By now, your baby is taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.)
Size of baby: 16.7 inches long, 3.75 pounds (the size of a jicama-- but who really knows what that is. On thebump.com it says she's the size of a squash!)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Uhmmm... scared to think... I was up 30 lbs around the time we were leaving, that was 2 and a half weeks ago... scared to think what it will be when we get back... I feel I've gained some weight in my own body due to lack of exercise since we've been here. It is so much easier to stay active in Europe... I don't have a scale here so we shall see next Sunday at the earliest.

Gender: A Sweet Baby GIRL!!  Katherine Anne!

Movement: She is doing flip flops and sommersaults inside me ALL OF THE TIME!! When I sit on the couch in the evening my tummy is starts moving and all these weird lumps, peaks and valleys are moving around. She is definitely a very active little girl.

What I miss: Being able to go through the day without having to stop and stretch my hurting ribs every 15 minutes.

Sleep: Not bad at all. I typically wake around 3-4 and can't fall asleep till 5 if something baby related gets in my mind and I start over-analyzing it... Getting up about once a night to use the bathroom.

Symptoms: Pretty much constant pain in my right ribs. I am not able to stay active all day solid and have to sit with a folded couch pillow under my back. I also have a pillow for driving and riding in the car. By 9pm I have to be either sitting with my pillow or lying flat on the ground/couch to allign my bones. Annoying. But I'm survivng.
Cravings: Red wine. We've been meeting with a lot of friends and going out to a lot of dinners and I missed being able to drink a nice glass of cabernet. I think I have finally satisfied my craving for guacamole... haha...
Best moment this week: Getting most of the remainig items from out registry purchased. I feel like now I have all the (material) tools I need to get ready for her.

What are we looking forward to: Shocklingly - going back to Geneva... I can't wait to be back there and resume my walking and hiking routine. Plus getting settled with all of Kate's stuff in the apartment. Hopefully my ribs stay put and I am able to do all that.

Randoms: I think she is still transverse (kind of diagonally across my belly) with her head in my right ribs hence the pain. I keep trying to feel the different lumpy parts of her body but it is hard to figure out what is what. Sometimes I think I can feel where her back is versus her head, and typically it's right across the middle of my belly. Hopefully she drops soon and I can get some relief from sore ribs.

And here is the 32 week picture...
