Belly pictures, months 2, 3, and 4

I REALLY don't mean to turn this blog into a prego journal, so excuse yet another post about me... but since this is such an important event in our lives now and just so much fun to be going through, it is kind of hard to avoid posting something.

For all those who wanted to see, here is my "growth" progress documented from month 2, then 3 and now 4 (completed - I am now in month 5).

I have to say I've been really lucky. I've had NO morning sickness whatsoever. I only got nauseous once and that was because I did not eat something when my body was demanding. Basically my only symptoms were EXTREME hunger for about a month and a half (I had to eat about every hour otherwise I felt weak), tiredness and some light-headedness.
All perfectly normal and not really interrupting normal daily life.

With the hunger and constant eating I was really concerned and felt guilty at first. I thought I would blow up and gain 20 pounds right away. I was really scared my doctor was going to yell at me for stuffiing my face all the time.. you know the saying about eating for two... well really - the 2nd one is the size of a peanut and only needs like 300 Cal at most...
We read in several prego books that thin women like myself simply need some extra fuel for the initial building of the baby and I should not worry. So I ate away and did not worry. You should have seen us packing for our weekly adventures... big backpack of miscellaneous food and just a couple other items...
Ultimately the crazy hunger stopped, and even though I've gained about 10lbs so far, they are all concentrated in my belly area, as my legs and arms still look skinny as before and I fit into all my normal clothes - with the exception of said belly area. I wear a Belly Band, kind of a scrunchy for the belly to hold my pants and skirts up...
My midriff has been ovewrsized since about month 2 and a half... haha....

So here it is: comparison of Tha Belly at months 2, 3 and 4 (in that order obviously).

I can't believe how big of a difference 1 month made!! I feel like I doubled in size. Must be all those pierogies I stuffed myelf with in PL recently....

And in case you're wondering about weird prego cravings and aversions... Since about week 7 I have not been able to stomach ANY choclotate, cookies or ice cream, or any other sweet stuff like that... So weird!!
Everybody knows I've always been obsessed with chocolate. Everybody knows the Death By Chocolate cake from HT, which I ate almost every other night back home.  Well not anymore. Chocolate makes me nauseous and yucky even in small amounts.  Instead I have the worst urge to eat fruit and veggies all the time!

I can't really complain. It's a pretty convenient aversion/craving combo to have when you're supposed to be eating healthy. I honestly have never eaten so much fruit and such a variety in my life.  This kid is going to be a super health freak... Too funny. I think maybe that's why I have kept my weight pretty normal despite eating ALL the time.
Other things I just have to eat every day are cottage cheese (THANK YOU Kali and Ralph for helping me find it here in Switzerland), delicious local crusty bread, plain yogurt, and snack cheeses (mini baby bell, laughing cow). THE BEST. CJ says that if our child comes out with lactose intollerance he will blame me... But I can't help it! And I do think this stuff is good and healthy! I mean all the protein and calcium. Hahaha....
