Marche de Plainpalais

We decided to spend our first Sunday in Geneva exploring our new neighborhood – Plainpalais. I absolutely love the area. I fell in love with it when we came here back in January for our orientation trip. And our apartment is right in the middle of it.
The center has a huge diamond shaped open area which is currently being used for a carnival. We were also told that in the summer they have a circus, and every Wednesday and Saturday there is a huge flea market where you can get general cheap flea market crap but also cute knick-knacks and antiques. Can’t wait to see it.

When we came this morning, this is what was going on there:

We have our very own Farmers Market right outside of our door, in the middle of the city. I just can’t wait to go get our fresh fruit and veggies, tasty cheeses, funky spices and all kinds of other cool stuff they have there.
Behind all the farmer stands there’s a cool playgrounds where these cute Swiss kiddies were playing…

And here once again is a view from our windows – facing both ways, one to the center of Plainpalais and one towards the mountains. Gorgeous!

Quality of the photos is awful because it was a super bright day and I'm no professional photographer, but you get the picture...
