2014 Snowmageddon #1

As it always happens in Charlotte we had a snow day this winter. The buildup to this event was typical, stories of utter doom and gloom, mass hysteria of milk and bread buying at the grocery stores, only to be followed by about two inches of snow, which was gone within a few hours. But what followed was a sheet of ice so that's not so nice.

When I heard about the expected snow on the news I started telling Katherine about it and promising her that when she got up from her nap we would have snow and go play in it. And sure enough after we came home from school and had a nap, the white stuff finally started coming down. We went out and played in the backyard a bit.
Ultimately this is all we got.

It stopped snowing but the next morning we still had enough on the ground to make a bit of a snow angel.
She seemed so perturbed by the snow sticking to her mittens...
Unfortunately the snow was too dry and grainy to build a snowman, but we still had fun! And luckily school did not get cancelled so that was great!
