Katherine's school hosted a Valentine's Day Tea Party for parents and I was one of the few who made it there. It was a touch and go for a while because that Friday happened to be the Friday after the massive snow storm and some parents decided to keep their children at home. So they actually ended up celebrating Valentine's once again on Monday so the other kids and parents could come. And I'm sure the kids didn't complain about getting more cookies and cupcakes either...
Anywho, I volunteered to make cookies for the kids and my friend Kelly (Leila's mom) made mini cupcakes.
When we came, all the little tables were covered with red tablecloths, with cute plates and napkins set out. Miss Catherine, the director, even had real tea cups and some fruit tea set out, but kids were mostly just drinking their waters and juice.
We came in during circle time when they sing songs (Katherine was sooo excited to see me! She screamed ;Mommy!!' and ran to me. So sweet.) so we sat down and sang with them. They it was time to wash hands and sit down to have their treats. Here are sone pictures we took.

Saying 'cheese' with her mouth full of cookies...
After that part was over we were invited to hang out a little longer, so we did and we joined the kids in the Dance Studio for the gross motor activity (which Katherine calls the 'dance party;) It was so fun to see all the kids and especially our kids have fun. Ever since we started school, I've been wondering what they do and how Katherine acts there, so it was super neat to see her in action. She was being her normal crazy little monkey self.

I feel so blessed I could participate in that day with her!
