Our Valentines Day date

Katherine's school does a 'Kids Night Out' event once a month, where kids meet up at school for a PJ/movie/pizza party from 5-9 pm and parents get a night off.
 In February they had it on the Saturday after Valentines Day so it was a perfect opportunity to have a little date night while the munchkin was partying with her friends.

We knew that all restaurants would be packed because of Valentines, so we opted for staying in and cooking a nice dinner. We have a tradition of doing seafood dinners for Valentines, so we stuck with that.
CJ made shrimp cocktail and for dinner we had his signature Shrimp Scampi. It was delicious!

 I even broke out the fancy china and real silver silverware.

And a bonus to all of that - Katherine had a blast with her friends at the pizza party! Can't wait for next month's event! We've already signed up.
