Continuing with the Budak Family visit recap.
We wanted to show my sister and her family North Carolina mountains, and what better way than to take them to our own land in Pisgah Preserve at Lake James. We stayed at the show cabin owned by the developer of the neighborhood. The weather did not cooperate for part of our stay, but we had enough good conditions to go for a hike with the kids in hiking back packs on the property, and take some gorgeous photos of the leaves changing colors all over the mountains.
We also took them to Blowing Rock, probably our favorite little mountain town, where we walked around and had a yummy home style lunch at King's on Main. That place is the bomb and we always visit when we go to Blowing Rock.
We had some slight challenges with the kids who either refused to nap in the new place or took short naps end would end up cranky towards the end of the day but it was all worth the effort.
And specifically for CJ and I, this trip reinforced in us that we made the right decision when we bought land in Pisgah Preserve. We can't wait when we can finally break ground and build a house there. It will be so much fun bringing family to spend time in this gorgeous, quiet place.
Enjoy the pictures!

Katherine refused to nap that day since we were in a new place so this is what happened... Lots off head bobbing and finally a short snooze in the pack...
