Dog show in the Plainpalais

I had previously blogged about all the cool events that are regularly going on in the big, open area next to our house, called Plainpalais. We have a regular Farmers' Market and Flea Market a few times a week.
The area is also used for a Carnival (back in April/May), Circus (September) and last Sunday we stumbled upon a Dog Show organized by the local Animal Lover Societies.

There were a few blocked off areas where owners were showing off the mad skills of their pups. We especially loved this little girl who took her doggie through the agility obstacle course...

Some of these dogs were amazing. I think this one won the competition.

There was also a show about obedience training (we did not spend a whole lot of time there) and a tent was set  up with information stands about the local canine organizations in Geneva.

This doggie was just gorgeous, hanging out with the owner. CJ liked him too.

It was really cool to see. We both thougth that it would be a really neat thing if our baby trained and presented his / her doggie at a show like that some day. Not a bad hobby to have. Much better than spending all days playing video games...

One final thing I have to say is THANK GOODNESS FOR MY AWESOME NEW CAMERA!! CJ got me that amazing DSLR Nikon for my bday and it makes all the difference in the world while taking action shots these days.
