We had the tree all decorated, lots of presents underneath, we cooked a yummy Christmas dinner and went to Christmas Mass on Christmas morning.

Katherine kept saying it was Christmas Tree Day...
She got all dressed up and danced to Jingle bells.
She had fun at church and loved seeing baby Jesus and angels in the nativity scene.
After church we all got comfy and opened some presents.
Tip to all parents - remove all packaging from toys before wrapping. Getting all the stupid twist ties and plastic while your child waits to play with a new toy is a pain!
Also, with smaller kids, consider giving one gift at a time or even per day. Little ones will want to play with what is in their hand at the moment instead of doing a marathon unwrapping...
Then we had a lovely early Christmas Dinner with ham, asparagus and mashed potatoes, etc.
This was my first time cooking a Christmas ham and I only bought this little 2 pound chunk. It came out great though!
What a special time!
