A few weeks ago my parents came to visit us in Geneva and they met Katherine for the first time. This was the first time she met any of her relatives so it was pretty cool. My Dad had a business trip to Munich and decided to make the drive to Geneva (6.5 hours) since he was already so close. Then my Mom decided to come too and she suprised us in coming along.
They arrived late on Friday evening and pretty much went straight to bed because they were beat from the long drive.
On Saturday we took Katherine to Arcade Sage-Femmes (yes I go there regularly for the weigh ins because I like to keep tabs on her progress) and after that we took them for a walk around Geneva to show them our favorite pedestrian areas. It really is a walking friendly town plus the weather was lovely so it turned out to be a fun day.
In the afternoon we Skyped first with my sister, hed hubby and their new baby and then in the evening we got on Skype with CJ's family in the US who coincidentally almost all were gathered at his parents' house in Southern Pines, so we got to catch up with everyone. Thank goodness for Skype, right?...
On Sunday we had a slow lazy morning, we all went to church and then after lunch they left to go back to Munich.
We had such a nice visit with them. Of course they were all ga-ga over Katherine and kept talking and smiling too her. She's a little attention hog so she was in heaven all the time. She especially loved my Dad and was giving him the biggest smiles. So cute!
