Geneva is pretty scattered when it comes to such events so we looked outside the city and found a really nice big one in Montreux, a city about 1 hr up the lake from us, which is normally known for the International Jazz Festival. Well in the winter they turn into a Christmas Town. That's where we went last Sunday.
Here are some pictures we took.
Isn't this place just gorgeous?
Stands with all kinds of goodies...
Enjoying some hot tea with rum...
Too warm for snow, so they made snow from foam...
Cake anyone?
We enjoyed a plate of a local (Canton de Vaud) specialty, mixture of cooked potatoes, Vaudois sausage, onions and Gruyere cheese... Cooked in gigantic vats and was getting snatched up pretty fast. Soo yummy! And some waffles (gauffres) for dessert.
What a fun day it was!
