Halloween 2013

This year we hosted a neighborhood party in our driveway on Halloween. We were told that it was a tradition here for people to get together and have a Halloween bash. Of course people used to do that before literally every single house on the street had kids in the last two years or so. Yes, we have tiny munchkins Katherine's age all up and down the street.
In any case, it all turned out great. We started around 6 and stayed out till about 10pm. I made a big pot of yummy chili (recipe below) and some party chex-mix, and all neighbors brobught snacks to share. All the kids had a great time too and honestly, some younger trick or treaters seemed more excited to see all the toys we had for the kiddos than the candy.

The group shots were taken pretty early so not all guests are there yet and we don't have the kid toys out...

 Old neighbor, Emalyn, as princess...
 Baby Hannah as ducky...
 Little Cate as bumble bee...
And of course look at our adorable pumpkin!!!

And guess who was the only adult who wore a costume... yeah ME!
