Parc des Bastions

Just a couple of streets over from our apartment is my favorite park of Geneva.
It's called Parc des Bastions and I fell in love with it when we were here back in January.
We toured and applied for an apartment on Blvd des Philosophes then (a street between our current location and the park) but we did not get it. I am just over the top happy that we ended up living so close to it after all.

Anywho, I went for a walk there on Sunday. Here are some snapshots I took with my phone.

You enter through this grand gate...

Gorgeous views...

There are always people playing giant chess...
Or sitting / lounging on the grass...

You can get a snack here...

Or hop on the old-timey tourist train and take a guided tour...

University of Geneva has some buildings inside the park...

And this is the wall of the Old Town. The park abutts to the Old Town. This is how close we are to it too...

And this is the other end of the park, where you can take the steep old steps right into the heart of Vieille Ville (Old Town).
Very fun place to go for a Sunday walk!
