Soccer camp

Starting in June we signed Katherine up for an 8 week long soccer camp organized by Soccer Shots of Greater Charlotte. In case you didn't know, Katherine's daddy was a star soccer player in high school (in addition to many other sports he played through out his life) so he was very passionate about getting her started early on an athletic career.

It turned out to be a mixed bag of goods. Katherine certainly enjoyed some aspects of soccer and had fun with her little friends (unfortunately her BFF Leila was in the 3 year old section so they couldn't play together all the time). She learned some soccer terms and moves and scored some goals. But there were also times when she was totally not in the mood to play - she wasn't the only by the way... most girls in the group were slow to warm up to the game. But what can you expect from a bunch of 2 year olds on a Saturday morning.

In any case - she does seem like the energetic and athletic type, so we will definitely try it again when she's a little bigger.

Here are some pictures and videos of her in action. Oh and btw, this was a 100% Daddy-Daughter affair! I wasn't even allowed to come snoop-a-loop through the fence hee hee...

Getting ready for the first practice. Not in the mood...

Ok I guess I'll go if we ride a bike.

Tiny Mia... doing great!

Week 5 or 6. Not so into it anymore (it was a rainy day too and the class was held inside, which made things worse).

Wrapping up the 8 weeks on a high note!
